The quick answer

Miss Universe Puerto Rico is the 75th anniversary, with key dates of November 21, 22, and 24, 2026 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot in Hato Rey. The Coliseo ticket page lists National Costume on Saturday, November 21 at 7:00pm, Preliminaries on Sunday, November 22 at 7:00pm, and Finals on Tuesday, November 24 at 8:00pm. Discover Puerto Rico says four days allow time for the event and several San Juan experiences, and US citizens flying directly between the United States and Puerto Rico do not need a passport.

You have a Saturday, a Sunday, and a Tuesday, and you are trying to tell whether that is a long weekend or a real San Juan trip. We have not watched this competition, and we do not sell the seats. The dates sit on the November neighborhood map we already publish for San Juan.

The picture at the top of this page is Condado's Atlantic shore in late golden hour. It is not the Coliseo, and it is not a hotel. The arena is inland, in Hato Rey, and the useful work is fitting three published nights around the rest of the city.

What is actually on the calendar

Discover Puerto Rico's Miss Universe trip page calls this the 75th anniversary, with key event dates of November 21, 22, and 24, 2026. The main venue is the Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot, and the same page places the final night there, in Hato Rey.

The Coliseo ticket page, read on November 5, 2026, puts clock times on those three dates. National Costume is Saturday, November 21 at 7:00pm. Preliminaries are Sunday, November 22 at 7:00pm. Finals are Tuesday, November 24 at 8:00pm. Discover Puerto Rico describes the same three nights in plainer language: a national costume show, a preliminary competition, and the final night, when the next Miss Universe is crowned. We are not adding segments, scores, or a verdict. This page is the trip around the listing.

Two planning facts fall out of those weekdays. Monday, November 23, is not one of the three dates on the ticket page we read. Discover Puerto Rico says additional activities, appearances, and community events may be announced closer to the celebration, so treat Monday as an open city day unless a later official listing fills it. And the final is a Tuesday at 8:00pm, which means a flight home that same night is a squeeze you should not build the trip on.

Discover Puerto Rico's own note says event schedules, ticket availability, and broadcast details may change, and it points readers to the official Miss Universe channels. Read the Coliseo ticket page again before you set travel dates. A clock time can move. We will not guess which way.

Where the Coliseo actually is

Discover Puerto Rico's venue profile gives the address as 500 Arterial B Street, San Juan, PR 00918, in the Hato Rey district. Locals shorten the name to the Choli. The same profile says the building can be reached by the Tren Urbano.

That is the map, and it is not a beach grid. Hato Rey is convenient for the door, which is the phrase Discover Puerto Rico uses, and it is a business and arena district. If your hotel is on the Tren Urbano, the train is a real option. If it is not, plan a taxi or rideshare. From Condado or Old San Juan that ride is a short one on a quiet afternoon. Finals night is a Tuesday arena night, so leave more time than the quiet-afternoon version, and order the car back before you are standing outside with everyone else. We are not going to put a minute count on it.

A rental car is optional when the trip stays in San Juan and the nights belong to the arena. It starts to earn its place on a day you leave the metro. Our do you need a car post and the car rental page cover the part people dislike, which is parking and tolls once you are in the old city.

What the ticket page says, and what it does not

We do not quote a price, and we do not say which sections still have seats. Both move. The Coliseo ticket page and the official Miss Universe channels are the record. Discover Puerto Rico tells travelers to buy only through the event's authorized channels. We are not one of them, and this page does not link a checkout.

A few house rules on that ticket page matter more than the marketing around the week.

Anyone aged 15 or younger must be with an adult aged 21 or older at all times. The Coliseo states that for every event in the building. Children aged 2 and older need their own ticket. If you are bringing a family, read those two lines before you hold four seats, because a lap-child assumption that works at a movie does not match this page.

Tickets have to be downloaded and presented in a digital wallet. A photo of the ticket is not accepted for scanning. Download it on the hotel wifi before you leave, not in the rideshare line.

Bags are tight. Only clear bags are permitted: vinyl or PVC, without buckles, grommets, or decorations that obscure the pockets, up to 12 by 6 by 12 inches, or a small clutch up to 4.5 by 6.5 inches. Pack the night as a small-bag check. A tote that felt reasonable at dinner will not feel reasonable at the door.

How many days this calendar actually takes

Discover Puerto Rico's answer, on the same trip page, is that four days allow time for the event and several San Juan experiences, and that a longer stay is what makes El Yunque or another region comfortable.

On this specific listing, four days lines up with a Saturday arrival, Monday as the open day, Tuesday night as the final, and Wednesday as the flight home. The three stage nights are not a Friday-to-Sunday run. Saturday and Sunday are 7:00pm, Tuesday is 8:00pm, and Monday sits in the middle with nothing on the ticket page we read. Our San Juan three-day guide is the right skeleton if you are coming for one night, especially the Tuesday final. It is short for all three.

If the trip slides past Tuesday, know the next Thursday. November 24 is a Tuesday on the ticket page, and November 26, 2026 is the Thursday two days later, which is Thanksgiving. Our November guide is where that holiday week is treated as its own planning problem. A Wednesday flight home stays on the arena side of it. A stay through the holiday is a different trip.

Where to stay if the arena is the point

None of these are hotel picks. We are not naming a package seller. The choice is the neighborhood, and the search itself lives on our hotels page and the booking hub. The longer comparison is where to stay in San Juan. Discover Puerto Rico's list for this week is Hato Rey first, then Condado, Miramar, Santurce, and Old San Juan.

Hato Rey, if the door is the point. This is the base Discover Puerto Rico calls convenient for the Coliseo, and the catch is the morning. You are in the arena district, not on the sand. A finals night is simple. A beach morning is a ride.

Condado, if you want the beach and dinner on foot. It is the default in our stay guide: a real beach and restaurants you can walk to, and a short taxi or rideshare to Hato Rey. The catch is the water. Condado is open Atlantic, so read the flags and swim near a guarded stretch. The Condado beach page is the longer version of that caution.

Miramar, if you want a quieter in-between base. Discover Puerto Rico lists it as useful, and it does not call it the closest door. The catch is that "useful" still means a ride to the Coliseo, and it is not the beach street Condado is. Do not read the name as if the arena were downstairs.

Santurce, if the evenings are the draw. The same Discover Puerto Rico page points night music toward places such as La Placita de Santurce. The catch is the clock. An 8:00pm Tuesday final, or a 7:00pm show on Saturday or Sunday, does not leave a second evening in another neighborhood. Pick the arena night or the Santurce night. Doing both is how people miss a door time.

Old San Juan, if the days are the point and the show is the night. Our Old San Juan page is the daytime case: forts, plazas, and dinner inside the walls. The catch our stay guide already names still holds, and the arena adds one more. The walled city has no beach of its own, and the Coliseo is a short taxi or rideshare, not a walk in the shoes you wore to dinner. Order the car before the final ends.

One capacity note, stated as news, not as a reason to rush. On November 4, 2026, News is my Business reported that Hampton by Hilton San Juan and Homewood Suites by Hilton San Juan added 257 rooms in the Convention Center District, and that the project lifts that district's hotel inventory by 26.9%, from 955 to 1,212 rooms, according to PRISA Group. Those rooms are in the Harbor District. That is a different part of San Juan from the Hato Rey arena. We are not recommending the hotels, and we are not linking a package.

A second number, also plain. As of October 11, 2026, Amadeus Hospitality reported committed hotel occupancy for November at 53.2%, +5.6% from the same point a year earlier, and Discover Puerto Rico's October 29 research note says that month was running ahead. Committed occupancy means rooms already on the books that day. It is not a final occupancy figure, and it is an island-wide hotel number, not a count for Hato Rey or Condado. Through September, the same note cites STR and AirDNA estimates of 6.4 million lodging nights year to date, up 4.5% from a year earlier. That is the year so far. It is not a forecast for these four nights. Search the room for the dates you actually need.

What to put on the other days

Keep a show day lighter than a full sightseeing day. Doors, the performance, the bag check, and the ride are already a block. Monday, November 23, is the cleanest day on this calendar if the ticket page stays as we read it. The other mornings can still hold something short.

A one-hour paddle, on a morning. The clear kayak on Condado Lagoon is listed at one hour, inside San Juan, which is why it fits before a 7:00pm or 8:00pm night. The catch is the clock the operator already gives: the lagoon usually fills around midday, so a morning slot is the calmer one. It is a lagoon, not a beach swim, and a manatee is never a promise.

A walk in the old city, not stacked against the door. The Old San Juan walking tour is listed at two hours, an easy pace through the colonial streets. The catch is the ground in this month. The streets are cobblestone and can be slippery when wet, and November's brief rain is enough to make sandals a bad idea. Fortress entrance is not included on that listing. If you would rather eat your way through the same streets, the Old San Juan food tour is listed at three hours, with enough food for a meal and a rum cocktail. Three hours plus a cocktail is a poor idea in the window before you need to be in Hato Rey. Our Old San Juan food guide covers eating there without a tour at all.

A boat, on a night you do not already have a ticket. The San Juan sunset harbor boat is a 90-minute ride on the bay, timed for sunset, and the exact departure shifts through the season. The catch is the overlap. A sunset departure and a 7:00pm or 8:00pm door can land on the same evening. Put the boat on Monday, or on a night you are not going to the Coliseo, and confirm the departure when you choose it.

An adults-only hour across the bay, if that is the table you want. The Casa BACARDI mixology class is listed at an hour and 15 minutes, for ages 21 and up, at the visitor center in Catano. The catch is the ferry plus the age line. It is a short ride across the bay plus the class, not a stop you fold into the hour before the arena, and it is not a family outing.

One bigger day, on Monday or on a day that is not a show. El Yunque is the rainforest trip from San Juan. The small-group waterslides tour is listed at seven hours with transport from San Juan. The catch is the length, and the weather. Seven hours does not sit beside a 7:00pm door, and the forest is wet even when the coast only catches a passing shower. Give it Monday, or skip it and stay in town. Anything farther than that belongs to our day trips from San Juan guide, with the same rule: a day outside the metro is not an errand before finals night. The wider list of tours is on activities.

If these November dates are not your window, a different San Juan show runs in February and March 2027. Our guide to that residency is a separate trip, in a different part of the city, and it is not this arena.

Getting there, and the passport question

US citizens do not need a passport to fly to San Juan for these nights. Discover Puerto Rico states it directly: US citizens traveling directly between the United States and Puerto Rico do not need a passport, although a valid government-issued ID is required for air travel. The currency is the US dollar, and the flight from the mainland is domestic. Visitors who are not US citizens need the documents required to enter the United States. International visitors should review the entry requirements that apply to them. Seeing the shows does not change any of that. It is a ticket in San Juan. Our no-passport page is the longer version, including which ID the domestic flight actually accepts.

The verdict

Build the trip around three protected blocks: Saturday, November 21 at 7:00pm, Sunday, November 22 at 7:00pm, and Tuesday, November 24 at 8:00pm, each with the ride to 500 Arterial B Street, the bag check, and the ride back. Leave Monday open. Use Hato Rey if you want the convenient base for the door and you do not need sand in the morning. Use Condado, Miramar, Santurce, or Old San Juan if the days matter, and treat every one of them as a rideshare to the arena rather than a walk.

We will say it once more, because it is the whole honesty of this page. We have not watched the competition, we do not know who is holding which seat, and we are not quoting a price. When you are ready, the Coliseo ticket page and the official Miss Universe channels are the record for the time and the seat. This page is the San Juan trip around them.

Where should I stay near the Coliseo de Puerto Rico for Miss Universe? Discover Puerto Rico says Hato Rey is convenient for the Coliseo, and that Condado, Miramar, Santurce, and Old San Juan are useful bases. Hato Rey is the convenient base for the door and a poor beach morning. Condado has the beach and walkable dinner, with an open Atlantic shore, so read the flags. The other three are a ride, not a walk, and Old San Juan has no beach of its own. Search the room on our hotels page. We do not name a hotel to book, and the new Convention Center District rooms reported on November 4, 2026 are in the Harbor District, not at the arena.

What is there to do in San Juan during Miss Universe week? Use Monday, November 23, for the long day, and keep show days lighter. A one-hour Condado Lagoon kayak fits a morning. A two-hour Old San Juan walk or a three-hour food tour fits a day you are not rushing to Hato Rey, and the cobblestones are slippery when it rains. A 90-minute sunset boat and a 7:00pm or 8:00pm door can collide, so put the boat on a night without a ticket. El Yunque, including a seven-hour waterslides tour with transport from San Juan, wants its own day. November is warm, with the possibility of brief rain.

How many days do I need for a Miss Universe Puerto Rico trip? Discover Puerto Rico says four days allow time for the event and several San Juan experiences. On this calendar that means a Saturday arrival, Monday as the open day, Tuesday's 8:00pm final, and Wednesday as the realistic flight home. One night, especially the Tuesday final, can follow our three-day San Juan skeleton. All three stage nights are longer than that skeleton. A longer stay is what makes El Yunque comfortable. Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26, 2026, two days after the final, if the trip runs on past Tuesday.
